Listen to Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross cover David Bowie for 'Watchmen'

Mark Hill/HBOTrent Reznor and Atticus Ross have shared another cut from their score of HBO’s Watchmen series: an instrumental cover of David Bowie‘s “Life on Mars?”

The recording was featured in the seventh episode of Watchmen, “An Almost Religious Awe,” which aired this past Sunday. You can listen to it streaming now on YouTube.

Nine Inch Nails previously toured with Bowie in the mid-’90s, and Reznor stars in the video for the rock icon’s 1997 single, “I’m Afraid of Americans.” In an essay published weeks after Bowie’s death, Reznor credited the legendary musician for helping him get sober.

The “Life on Mars?” cover is included on the upcoming third and final volume of Reznor and Ross’ Watchmen soundtrack, due out December 16. The first two volumes were released in November.

Watchmen, based on the iconic ’80s graphic novel, airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
