Jack White’s Third Man Records is throwing the book at Record Store Day, April 22.
Specifically, White’s Nashville-based label will issue a new book titled The Blue Series: The Story Behind The Color. Written by Ben Blackwell, it chronicles Third Man’s Blue Series of releases, which have included discs from Insane Clown Posse, Beck and Courtney Barnett.
The book features interviews with White and Blue Series artists, and comes with a seven-inch, blue-vinyl disc featuring previously unreleased tracks from First Aid Kit and Gibby Haynes of Butthole Surfers.
Third Man’s Record Store day other offerings will include a gold-vinyl version of White’s new single, “Battle Cry.”
