Linkin Park has dropped another preview of One More Light by sharing the lyrics to one of the upcoming album’s songs, “Good Goodbye.” You can read the lyrics now via Genius.com.
On “Good Goodbye,” frontman Chester Bennington sings the chorus, while Mike Shinoda and rappers Pusha T and Stormzy handle the verses.
According to Shinoda, the inspiration behind “Good Goodbye” came from his love of basketball.
“When I was writing this song, I wanted to capture that moment at the game when someone fouls out, and the cheerleaders sing and kick out the ejected player,” he tells Genius.
“We wanted this song to apply to two things at the same time: someone getting kicked out of a game, and someone getting out of a bad relationship,” Bennington adds.
One More Light will be released May 19.
