Courtesy of GorillazGorillaz has released a new mixed reality app in anticipation of the release of their long-awaited new album, Humanz.
If you download the app, you’ll be invited to the Humanz House Party, during which you’ll be able to hear Humanz in full for the first time. According to a press release, the Humanz House Party will be the “largest ever geo specific listening experience bringing people together across 500 locations.”
The Gorillaz app is now available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices.
Humanz will be released April 28. In support of the album, Gorillaz will be headlining this year’s Outside Lands festival, held August 11-13 in San Francisco. The cartoon band is also launching interactive Spirit Houses in Brooklyn, Berlin and Amsterdam.
