It’s cats vs dogs in Incubus’ “Nimble Bastard” video

Island RecordsIncubus frontman Brandon Boyd previously teased the band’s video for their song “Nimble Bastard,” the lead single from their upcoming album 8, as “perhaps the most ridiculous video ever shot.”  Well, now you can judge for yourself, since you can now watch it via ConsequenceofSound.net.

In the video, a group of adorable French bulldogs, led by an “Agent Nimble,” plot to kill the members of Incubus. They employ everything from missiles to jet-packs — yes, there are jet-pack flying dogs in this video — to accomplish their goals, but the nimble bastards in Incubus just won’t die.

In order to combat the murderous canines, the band summons some otherworldly power and turn their faces into cat heads.  They then use various dog toys and treats to send Agent Nimble and his team into a wormhole.

In other Incubus news, the band has shared another new song from 8, called “Undefeated.” You can download the track now via iTunes.

8 will be released April 21. Incubus will be touring this summer in support of the album alongside Jimmy Eat World.
