Image courtesy BillboardTwenty One Pilots received 17 nominations for this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
The Columbus, Ohio duo will compete in categories including Top Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album, Top Billboard 200 Album and the impressive-sounding Billboard Chart Achievement Award. Only two artists earned more nominations this year: Drake and The Chainsmokers, who are both up for 22 awards.
Other rock BBMA nominees include Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, The Lumineers, Red Hot Chili Peppers and X Ambassadors.
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, May 21 on ABC.
